Refunds can be issued with or without canceling a registration. For example, you may wish to offer a partial or full refund to someone who registered and/or participated in the event for any number of reasons. For example: due to any unforeseen issues that arose before, during, or after the event, or simply as a way of gifting them a discount.

To issue a refund, select the attendee that you would like to process the refund for and follow these steps:

  1. Select the class that the person in question is registered for, and click on Attendees (or the term you used for your participants), or find the attendee within your “Attendees” list.

  2. Select the registered attendee you wish to issue a refund, which will bring out their registration card.

  3. On their registration card, select the tab marked Payment. There you will find a refund button. You can then issue a partial or full refund depending on your needs. An automatic refund receipt will be emailed to the attendee, with the refund details displayed.

Note: Issuing a refund does not cancel the person’s registration. If you need to cancel a registration as well, follow these steps:

  1. Select the class that the person in question is registered for, and click on Attendees (or the term you used for your participants), or find the attendee within your “Attendees” list..

  2. Select the registered attendee whose registration you wish to cancel, which will bring out their registration card.

  3. In the top right hand area of their registration card, click on the arrow navigation menu, which will expose an option to Cancel this registration. When you click on this, a window will pop up to confirm that you want to go through with the cancellation. Click Yes proceed if this is what you would like to do.

Your attendee will receive an automatic email to notify them of their cancelled status and/or of any refunds issued in their name.

Note: A full refund will also refund the Corsizio $1 service fee, but not Stripe’s credit card processing fees. As of September 14, 2017, Stripe has changed their policy when a refund is issued for any new customers that signed up to a Stripe account after that date. They no longer refund the original Stripe processing fees on the refunded transaction.
