When creating your event registration page, you can format the content of the event description in many ways using markdown. See how to format content.

If you just want to include a cover image or video for your event, you would use the built-in cover photo panel where you can insert an image and/or video. This is available to you on the event details page, after you create and save your event. See how to include a cover photo or video on an event page.

Images

To insert or embed an additional image or more, directly into the event’s full description, follow these steps:

  • First, you will need to host the image you wish to include somewhere and have its direct URL. You can host it on your own website or a third party image or file hosting service, like Dropbox, Google Drive, Cloudup, and many others. You will need to make sure that the file is publicly accessible, otherwise it will not be accessible.

  • Second, go to the event description in Step 3 — Description & Content of your event or edit the event description directly from the event details page. Insert the image URL into the desired location of your event’s description using either markdown format or HTML format, as per the following examples:

Markdown format:

![Image Title](https://www.example.com/my-image.jpg)

HTML format:

<img src="https://www.example.com/my-image.jpg" alt="Image Title">

Copy either code exactly as you see it above, and simply replace the example URL with your specific image URL above. Replace the words image title with the title of your image. The image title is for SEO purposes for you and will not be visible to your audience.

Videos

To insert or embed a video or more, directly into the event’s full description, copy and paste the HTML IFRAME embed code you get from the video hosting service provider (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) directly into the event description. Be sure to have a blank line above and below your embed code.
